Judgment Day

Acts 17:31 [God] has appointed a day, in which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he has ordained; whereof he gave assurance unto all men, in that he raised him [Jesus] from the dead.

John 5:25 [Jesus said] Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

John 5: 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves will hear his voice 29 And will come forth; they that have done good, to the resurrection of LIFE; and they that have done evil, to the resurrection of DAMNATION.

Mat 12:36 [Jesus said] …That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

Rom 2:15 The conscience also bears witness, and their thoughts either accuses or else excuses one another; 16 In that day when God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to [the] gospel.

John 3:16 GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVES in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God. Rom 3:19

James 2:10 For whosoever will keep the WHOLE law, and yet offend in ONE point, he is GUILTY of ALL.

Rom 3:20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

Rom 2:2  We are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

Rom 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

WON SEED NOTE:

Our conscience (con=with / science = knowledge) tells us instinctively when we do wrong… that we’re doing wrong. By nature we ignore our conscience and obey the voice of our fleshly desires. Those desires are predominately selfish in nature and therefore break “the golden rule” of loving others as yourself. Would you want someone to deceive or lie to you, cheat with your spouse, talk about you behind your back or steal from you? We say emphatically no, yet we ourselves are guilty of breaking any number of the 10 commandments at any given time hurting others. We always fall short of the holiness it would require to “hang out” with God in heaven and He made it clear there is a DIRE price to pay for our selfishness.

Christ paid the penalty for our selfishness by being the self-sacrificing epitome of unselfish love.
